The Woodhouse Lodge

Had an incredible long weekend here with my family for Mother’s Day. Woodhouse is quite remote so for someone from the city it really did feel like being in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). Accommodations were beautiful and cozy, great ambiance. My husband, baby and dog stayed in the lodge suite which we highly recommend. Details below - The lodge suite is a very large two bedroom two bathroom suite with floor to ceiling windows, a full kitchen & the most comfortable beds (3!) in the world. This was the perfect amount of space for our family to enjoy a few days here. They even provided a pack and play for us to use for the baby. Woodhouse itself was small but beautifully designed and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious & believe the reviews about the coffee - we came back for seconds. We stayed on an off weekend so part of our stay we were actually the only people there! It felt really special having the full run of the place. A huge shout out to Allison for the great conversation each morning & to Holly for the great service at the restaurant. The small details like the smore kit and the Ursa Major wipes were a nice touch. One thing to note, the restaurant is only open Thursday-Saturday only so plan ahead. We took pizzas to go and ended up reheating them the next day which worked well We had a wonderful stay & can’t wait to come back! Thank you Jay and the team for the hospitality

My wife and I got married at the WHL in June 2025 and it was a true dream come true! Mallory was amazing to work with from touring the venue, to months of planning and finalizing, to being our MVP on wedding day. I can say with 100% certainty that things would not have all gone off without a hitch without her! We couldn't have asked for a better venue coordinator, who will make sure everything is done, whether according to plan or thinking quick to solve an unexpected wrench in the works! And all of this while we got to just enjoy our day :) We truly could not have felt more taken care of all weekend. If you are looking for a beautiful, intimate place to have a wedding or any large gathering, look no further for the coziest, most welcoming location with the best staff.

I recently coordinated a wedding at The Woodhouse Lodge, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The venue itself is stunning — warm, stylish, and surrounded by such beautiful scenery — but what truly made my experience exceptional were the people. Kendra and Mallory were an absolute dream to work with. From the earliest stages of coordinating to the very last moment of the couple's wedding day, they were responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day everything the couple hoped for. The entire staff at The Woodhouse Lodge went above and beyond. They were professional, friendly, and attentive, making the guests feel welcomed and cared for. Everything ran so smoothly — the couple didn’t have to worry about a single thing on their wedding day. I can’t recommend The Woodhouse Lodge enough. If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible team behind it, this is the place!

We booked a last minute trip here because we wanted a cozy weekend away, and we got just that! Before we arrived, we received a text checking when we will arrive. We told them around 8:00 pm. Just before 8, we received a text letting us know our room number and that we could just go on in. We then received a follow up text asking if we wanted to order room service or a reservation at Woodhouse Pizza. We went with the reservation. At Woodhouse Pizza we were greeted and sat right away. The pizza was delicious, drinks were too! The next morning we received a text if we would like any food or did we need any toiletries. We got two bagels, warm, delivered to our room! The same service continued for the duration of our stay. The hospitality was unlike anywhere else we’ve ever been. The rooms were super cozy, the fire pit with complementary s’mores, and the surrounding area truly made it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We will most definitely be returning for another visit!

We are so happy we chose The Woodhouse Lodge for our wedding weekend! The property is beautiful, the vibe is relaxed and fun, and it was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. On top of that, working with Mallory made the whole experience incredible. From the moment we booked all the way through the wedding weekend, she was so calm yet completely on top of every detail. She answered all of our questions, coordinated logistics and deliveries, and even provided thoughtful touches like décor items for our favors. She also went above and beyond at our rehearsal dinner when fewer guests arrived, making sure food didn’t go to waste by packing it up for us to eat later. On the wedding day itself, we didn’t have to worry about a thing because Mallory and the venue had everything handled. We couldn’t imagine a better place or a better team to work with. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing.

Our journey with The Woodhouse Lodge started back in July of 2021 when I came to celebrate my 30th birthday with some friends. We had the best time drinking and eating on the lawn in front of our room, the staff was super attentive and made us feel so welcome. A few years later when my spouse proposed to me, I knew getting married at Woodhouse would be a dream and we quickly got in touch with them. As a queer couple, finding a place that celebrated our identities was very important and we always felt so welcome with the whole Woodhouse team. Our wedding at The Woodhouse Lodge was absolutely perfect. Everything went extremely smoothly, I felt like the venue coordinator Mallory really understood our vision and helped to make everything come together seamlessly. Allison and Brendan worked so hard to make sure we all felt at home, and there was always someone there to help us with any questions or issues we had. All my guests have repeatedly told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We even came back to celebrate NYE at Woodhouse just a few months later and it felt just like coming home. We had the best time and will definitely be heading back there soon! Highly recommend The Woodhouse Lodge whether it's for your next special event or just a weekend getaway!

Had the wedding of our absolute DREAMS here. Guests from all over couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved the venue and how special it all felt and that is all due to the amazing team. Mallory the Director of Venue Operations is the definition of DO-er energy. She was so supportive and excited by all the things we were doing to make the wedding ours. She made us feel genuinely so taken care of and the whole weekend (my heart melted when she brought me non-alcoholic champagne so I could do a toast with my husband after our first look—I don't drink and I get so overlooked especially in a wedding environment lol). It was also incredibly special staying at the venue with friends and family. The Bridal Loft is to die for, I really miss it! Can't recommend this venue enough. It's a special one for sure!
